Virtual Track Policies
Event Accessibility
WIDA is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event. To request an accommodation for this event, please include your request in the accommodations section during the registration process. Conference materials are available in alternative formats upon request by emailing conferences@wida.wisc.edu.
Prohibited Conduct
Limitations on Use: By registering for the 2026 WIDA Annual Conference virtual track you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or share your login information, unless such transfer is granted by WIDA in writing. By registering for paid attendance, you agree not to share, sell or trade your access. If WIDA determines that you have violated this policy, WIDA may cancel your access, retain any payments made by you, and ban you from future events.
Disruptive Conduct: You acknowledge and agree that WIDA reserves the right to remove you from the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track if WIDA, in its sole discretion, determines that your participation or behavior create a disruption or hinder the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track or the enjoyment of the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track content by other attendees.
Recording, Live Streaming, and Videotaping: Participants, including a presenting author, may not record or broadcast audio or video of any breakout, keynote, or invited speaker sessions at the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track. Unauthorized recording (audio, video, still photography, etc.) of presentations is strictly prohibited. Those who do not comply with WIDA's Photography, Recording, and Videotaping policy may be removed from the virtual event. By attending, participants agree that they may not use artificially intelligent (AI) software or services to capture or record any content. WIDA reserves the right to remove any participant employing AI services for this purpose.
WIDA reserves the right to exclude any prospective participant from registering for or participating in the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track at WIDA’s sole discretion.
Substitutions, Cancellations and Refunds
All substitutions must be done online and must be completed prior to the conference.
Cancellations and fee refunds must be processed online no later than August 14, 2026. Refunds will be applied to the original payment method used for purchase and will be processed after they are received. A $25 cancellation fee will apply.
All 2026 WIDA Annual Conference recording only access sales are final.
Use of Likeness
By participating in the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track you acknowledge and agree to grant WIDA, the School of Education, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison the right at the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track to record, film, live stream, photograph, or capture your likeness in any media now available or hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant to the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media. WIDA, the School of Education, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison reserve the right to any approved audio and video production of presentations at the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track.
Non-endorsement Disclaimer
While WIDA strives to ensure that the content offered at its conference is as timely and accurate as possible, WIDA makes no claims, promises, or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of speakers' sessions, and expressly disclaims liability for errors and omissions by speakers. The views and opinions expressed at WIDA conference events are those of the speaker and do not necessarily represent the views of WIDA or its partners. Inclusion in the conference does not constitute WIDA's endorsement or recommendation.
Release of Liability and Quality Assurance
If WIDA is prevented from carrying out its obligations as it pertains to the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track as a result of any cause beyond its control, or the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track cannot be virtually conducted because of a software or issue with the hosting platform or due to acts of God, strikes, labor disputes, government requisitions, restrictions or war or apparent act of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities, or any other comparable calamity, casualty or condition (collectively a “Force Majeure”) WIDA shall have the right to immediately terminate the affected WIDA Annual Conference virtual track without liability and shall be relieved of its obligations to Registrant.
If the WIDA Annual Conference virtual track is interrupted, shortened, or terminated due to a Force Majeure occurrence, including as a result of issues with the third party software or hosting platforms, then WIDA will make a reasonable attempt to reschedule the 2026 WIDA Annual Conference virtual track and will issue refunds for cancellation fees or apply registration fees to the rescheduled event at their discretion.
